Akash, Bad Vöslau (close to Vienna):

Akasha, Sanskrit ākāśa आकाश) is a term for “æther”, space, sky/atmosphere.

Seen as one of the five elements (fire, earth, water, air and æther) in the Vedas, it is the most subtle one. Akashi is neither atomic or material but interfuses the whole cosmos. Akasha is space itself, remaining pure midst impurity, like the true Self which interfuses all of us.

Excerpt of the Bhagavad Gita (Talk between Krishna and Arjuna):

“When one actually perceives the expansion and diversity of all life forms as situated in the unity of material nature; thereafter at that time the Ultimate Truth is attained.” (Chapter 13, Verse 31)
“This Ultimate Consciousness is beginningless, immutable, devoid of any material quality O Arjuna; although situated within the body it never does anything nor is influenced.” (Chapter 13, Verse 32)

There are two types of space. The limitated one, which could be for instance limitated by the human body. And the unlimitated one, which is equal the universal infinite space.
